What are the advantages to listing a boat for sale with LadyBen.com?

Listing a boat for sale with LadyBen.com is free and includes a detailed boat listing and two pictures; we do offer additional advertising exposure for your classic wood boat at a very modest cost.

Our listing service allows you to give a boat the coverage it deserves. We provide you with ample space for textual information as well as the opportunity to append up to six (6) pictures to your listing. This is an advantage to both sellers and buyers.  Sellers have the opportunity to present their boat in a comprehensive manner and buyers have access to plenty of information on which to base their purchase decision.

By using the World Wide Web to market the sale of your boat your potential buyer base is expanded to the global community. You may be reaching a potential buyer for your classic wooden boat in another state/province or country. As well, your listing is accessible to individuals 7 days a week, 24 hours a day (provided they have access to the Internet).

Why do I need to register?

LadyBen.com asks that you register before listing your boat with us.  We may need to get in touch with you in regard to administrative functions. For example, in the event that a seller forgets to enter contact information when listing a boat we want to make sure that we can contact the seller in case a buyer is trying to reach him/her. As well, entering an address provides us with a way of returning any pictures of your boat that you may send us.

Registering also provides you with a password and account number which you will need in order to list a vessel, view and modify your vessel listing(s), view the number of hits each listing has received, modify your contact information, and change your password.

Please take a few moments to Register.  Your personal information will be kept private and will not be sold or given to any third parties (Please see the Privacy section below).  As well, any information you enter can always be modified later via the 'Your Account' page.

How can I get pictures of my boat added to my listing?

Depending on which boat listing package you choose, you can Email up to six (6) photos of your boat within 2 weeks of the date you listed.

E-mail your photos to pictures@ladyben.com. Use the .jpg file format. Photos should be no larger than 600 pixels wide and each photo should be saved as an individual ,jpg (not scanned together on one page).

Important: If we do not receive photos within 2 weeks we may have to remove your listing from our database. Photos of boats for sale ensure that we provide the most complete and attractive information to our users. If providing photos is a problem, drop us a line at pictures@ladyben.com.

What is the purpose of the 'Log-In' section?

The Your Account page allows you to change your personal information (for example, if you have moved), change your password, and view your previously or current listed boats and the number of hits each received to date. This page also allows you to access a boat's listing for the purpose of editing it.  To access the Your Account page you will be required to supply the account number and password you set during registration.

How do I edit a listing?

At some point after having listed your boat you may want to add, remove, or change listing information. You may access the edit vessel function through the Your Account page. 

• Click on the 'Your Account' button in the navigation bar at the top of any page.
• Enter your account number and password.
• Once logged in select Edit A Vessel from the list of choices.
• Click on the 'Make' of the vessel you want to edit. You will be taken to the vessel listing.
• Make the changes.
• Click on the 'Update Vessel Listing' button at the bottom of the page

How do I remove a listing?

• Click on the 'Your Account' button in the navigation bar at the top of any page.
• Enter your account number and password.
• Once logged in select Edit A Vessel from the list of choices.
• Click on the 'Delete Listing' button.
• Your boat will be removed shortly.

How do I search the boat listing database of boats for sale?

Boats for sale listings may be searched by: type, make, year or year range, length, region, and listing date. Specify any number of criteria that is of interest to you. The search will return all of the vessels in our repository that match the criteria you specified.  Full information, images, and contact information may then be viewed for each vessel.

If your search does not result in any listings you may want to broaden your search criteria or visit us again in a few days and search for new listings.

Hint: To view all of the vessels in the repository leave the search fields as they are and click the search button

How is my privacy ensured?

We, at LadyBen.com, hold the highest regard for the privacy of any personal information you may enter into our database. This includes; contact information that you enter during registration, listing information, the number of hits your particular vessel receives during the time it is listed with us, and any correspondence between yourself and any member of our staff. 

Under no circumstances will we sell or give away your personal information to any third parties unless we have been given permission by you to do so. (This may be required in the event that a buyer can not reach a seller.)
