18' Chris Craft Riviera, 1950 |
If you are looking for an outstanding Chris Craft Riviera that is in near-show-quality condition, take a close look at this boat. "Take Five" underwent a comprehensive frame-out restoration in 2004, which included a new 5200 bottom, frame inspection and refastening, side plank removal, refurbishment and refastening, a double planked deck, blonde wood decking replacement, new upholstery, new wiring, and re-chromed hardware. In 2009, the original 95 HP Chris Craft K engine was completely rebuilt and has since had only 30 hrs of use (hour meter). Take Five has been exhibited and has won several "Best" awards, including 2nd Place at the 2004 Lake Tahoe Concours d' Elegance Show. Since then, the owners have simply enjoyed Take Five on the lakes and rivers of the Pacific Northwest. The boat remains in near-show-condition because of careful handling and on-going professional care. A custom- built Ryan tandem axle trailer is included, along with a full water line cover, 2 sets of white flooring (for everyday use and for showing), 2 sets of custom carpeted flooring, fenders and dock lines. Listed at $39,500.00 For more information or answers to questions call Jim West West Coast Classic Boat Restoration 503-331-6678 Shop 503-422-8104 Cell |

26' Fay & Bowen, 1912 |
This 26ft. special wide launch, hull #480 is one of the finest, if not the absolute best example of a restored Fay & Bowen that can be found today. Because this boat was originally a salt water verison, even though it never was in salt water, it was restored to those standards. This means that all the hardware is triple plated brass including the strut, rudder, skeg, prop and exhaust. The original engine was removed long ago and replaced with a 45 hp Grey marine 4 cylinder engine wnich was totally rebuilt. Because of this weight reduction the bow rides a little higher and dryer than with the original motor. Another improvment was the adding of a new aluminum gas tank built to the original shape and size but with baffles and a venting system that cannot be seen because it has been incorperated in with the bilge port. To further enhance the boats safety all the wiring connections have been soldered and grounded to make everything correspond to today's standards. One final addition were stainless steel lifting rings. This enables one to launch or cradle the boat without the use of straps, thus avoiding marring the finish on the sides. These lifting rings can only be seen with the removal of the floor boards so as not to detract from the original look of the boat. It is this attention to detail, from the seventeen coats of varnish to all the screws facing in the same direction that make this boat a great prize to any collection. A truly must see boat. |

Built 1957, with extensive renovations in 2001. Steam bent oak frames with cedar planking. Renovation included replacement of many frames, transom, hull was stripped to bare wood, refastened, and sheathed in fiberglass with WEST System epoxy. House and deck were redone and partially glassed. Velvet drive transmission with 1-1/4" SS shaft. Last survey in 2005. Great day/picnic boat. Typical New England hull. Boat is in good shape- but very good shape for 1957 vintage. Between work and travel, the "Idlehour" is in fact the idle hour I may have each week to get involved with the old boat. A real head turner in our area- this boat needs a new home that has more time to offer to it. Full details on this 25' Peterson Downeast/Lobster Cruiser, 1957 |

15' Electri-craft Inboard, 1934 |
Originally at Big Moose Lake in the Adirondacks until purchased in 1948 by a man from Wanaksink Lake in the Catskills -- where only electric boats are permitted. Stored in a garage for 20 years after his death. I (living at the same lake) purchased the boat from his widow in 1986; it was in like-new condition. I have taken excellent care of the boat and recently had a new deck put on and the bottom and hullsides painted. Included are a trailer and straps, whips (fiberglass poles) which secure the boat to the dock; also, batteries, chargers, and electric lines to carry power to the batteries in the boat. Comes with a custom made boat cover and seat covers. Runs perfectly and looks like new. Full details on this 15' Electri-craft Inboard, 1934 |
