Canoe was built to Dimensions in Ted Moores' Book, Canoecraft, 1996 Edition. Cedar Strip Construction encased in 6 Oz. Fiberglass and West System Epoxy. Dbl layer 6 Oz. cloth on bottom of canoe. Seats are White Ash Frames laced with 3/16" Rawhide in the Classic Canadian Snowshoe Pattern. Decks are Honduras Mahogany with Carvings in Basswood. A Loon on the Bow Deck and Brown Trout on the Stern Deck. Bulkheads under Decks with sealed Dry Compartments. Custom Hand Carved Portaging Thwart (White Ash). All wooden components are minimum of two coats of West System 105/207 Epoxy. F'glass has minimum of 4 coats Epoxy. The canoe has a minimum of 6 coats of Epifanes High Gloss Spar Varnish with a minimum of 8 coats on the exterior hull. Constructed from Nov. 2004 and launched July 30, 2006 in Michigan's Primer Blue Ribbon Trout Stream, The AuSable River. A keel was added April 2010 and hull refinished with additional 4 coats of Varnish. Canoe is in "Like New Condition", well maintained and stored indoors.
