Following World War II there was an inadequate supply of mahogany to build boats. The Chris Craft Rocket was built with Spanish Cedar and in 1947 came in White and Atomic Blue. A collectors dream! I was a boy of six when the boat was delivered to a neighbor next to our Wisconsin cottage. The boat was a hit on the lake and I was always lucky to get a ride. In the mid-sixties the neighbor died and I bought my dream boat. I owned the Rocket until 1973 when we sold the cottage.
