Further Comments
I really do not want to sell this beauty, but i've got two other Lymans in the process of being restored so this one must eventually go. This is a 1959 23' sleeper which underwent a complete restoration from 2005-2007. The hull of the boat is solid as a rock, any cracked ribs have been replaced or sistered. It has a nice forward cuddy cabin which sleeps two and has the original cushions which are in great shape. It has the original ventilated windshield which was a factory option. The boat received a new aft deck and custom made swim platform, everything else is original. All chrome hardware has been rechromed, and a new Nautolex floor was installed. Boat was stripped, 4 coats of primer, 2 coats of Pettit slate blue and copper bronze on the bottom. Decks and interior were stripped to bare wood and finished with Lyman Mahogany filler stain, Old Salem clear sealer and 8 coats of Z Spar Captains varnish. Engine is a Gray Marine Fireball V-8 178 which moves the boat comfortably at 25+mph and runs like its new. New trim tabs were installed by the previous owner but you will rarely have to use them. Included are a a nice set of cushions, nice bimini top complete with zip in aft curtain and zip in side windows as well as a brand new custom mooring cover. The boat is on a trailer that allows us to trailer the boat with no problems but the boat is made to be docked. The boat will be featured in this years annual LBOA calendar and turns heads wherever it goes. It is considered by Lyman enthusiasts and historians to be the best rough water hull Lyman ever built which I can vouch for, it will ride comfortable in 1-3's at full cruising speed and has as good of a ride as any 26-30' Lyman. The boat gets attention wherever it goes, not once have I gone out with it and not got compliments and tons of questions. If you want a classic turnkey Lyman for yourself or the family this is the boat for you. Ive had offers of $15,000 so only serious buyers inquire. Boat is ready to be put in and test driven now. This Boat has been Sold
