Further Comments
The rarest of the Chriscraft Sportsman Line-up, this special runabout features dual forward cockpit design and aft inlaid engine. This boat was delivered by Chriscraft to the Infamous Minnetonka Boat Works, Wayzata, MN. in January of 1956 and comes complete with its original factory invoice. This rare find is well kept and in its original condition. It was last in the water in August 2011 and runs well. An exceptional find for the wooden boat enthusiast looking for that most unique vintage craft in its original yet full functioning condition. 1956 was the first year that a plywood flooring system was used in the Chriscraft line which minimized hull leakage without compromising the the distinct beauty of the Mahogany. Note the first Wrap-around on the windshield assembly which allowed for a more Finished Appearance and Less Disturbed Cockpit Area. The included Tandem Trailer is as well in very good condition.
