Further Comments

For sale - our classic boat - River Lady - a 1968 Peterborough Cabin Cruiser Construction: Hull: Lapstrake marine grade plywood over white oak frames. Decks: foredeck, marine grade plywood with fiberglass cloth over, painted finish. Aft deck and side decks, mahogany finished bright. Aft deck opens to engine room and storage. Cuddy cabin: Mahogany on mahogany frames. Sides finished bright, top fiberglassed with painted finish. Transom: marine grade mahogany plywood on white oak frame, finished bright. Mechanical: 4 cyl, Mercruiser gas engine. Inboard / outboard configuration. Steering push / pull cable. Control cables are new. All deck hardware is cast bronze with chrome finish. Fuel tank is vented overboard. Fuel delivery is through copper line with shut off at tank. The boat is fitted with one automatic bilge pump and an engine room blower vented overboard. All required electrical systems and navigation lights function properly. General Comments: This boat has, over the past number of years been kept in a boat house or indoor storage. The overall finish of the boat is quite serviceable. The bottom has been painted with anti-fouling bottom paint. There is a cuddy cabin with no sleeping accommodation. The cockpit is large and generous with two seats forward and a bench seat aft. The upholstery is in excellent condition. There is ample storage space in cuddy cabin, under aft seats and under aft deck. Recent work: The vessel has new carpeting and interior side panels. The brightwork was completely refinished in English Chestnut 4 years ago (7 coats of marine varnish plus a refresh coat this year), and is showing a need for some touch up. The bottom has been painted with an anti fouling paint and the lapstrake sides refinished in white. All electrical wiring and panel is new. The motor has been overhauled and electronic ignition installed. The vessel has a new automatic bilge pump and new fuel lines, with an aux tank. There is a new prop installed two years ago. Additional equipment: This vessel is equipped with a cockpit cover, a full convertible camper top with side and rear curtains and screens plus a bimini top. All in excellent condition. Vessel is equipped with anchor secured on fore deck. All appropriate safety equipment is on board. Vessel is fitted with a depth sounder. Vessel comes with an older tandem trailer. It has new tires and electrical wiring and is perfectly sound for hauling. We are sad to sell the River Lady, but hope she will go to someone who will continue to enjoy her. LOA 20
