'CHRIST CRAFT' THE YACHT: Skippers Musings:

This vessel is an altogether, seaworthy, dependable turnkey example of Vintage Beauty, & classic 50's 'Chris Craft' Elegance. Presently serves as fully functional, part time, ministerial office, livaboard, cruising vessel. It is boat housed & strategically located in view of capital in Olympia WA.
When you step aboard or slip away from the dock, time stands still, as you move smooth & steadily under the purring and powerful dependability of the twin Chrysler 440 engines. 'Sublime Cruising', best describes, the near effortless course through our majestic Northwest waterways.
This medium large hull, 46', with just a little practice, becomes a very responsive, maneuverable and easily manageable vessel, from either Salon or fly bridge steering stations. You can fish at single engine troll or water-ski/board at twin engine 22-25 knots, or anything in between. My preference is relaxing at 1500rpms, single engine, 7-71/2 knots, taking in everything in sight, & knowing I'm where I want to be, enjoying my family or entertaining friends or maybe just a solitary afternoon cruise. This boat will do for you what ever you need or want.
A family friendly vessel, it is close to the ultimate in family and guest outings. We have taught our kids and theirs seamanship, navigation, nature appreciation and water safety. We've day cruised with 17 adults & children aboard and everyone comfortable and uncrowded. Sleeps 10 adults, in comfort, 13 close, 15 crowded, all are joyous memories. The folks aboard seem to enjoy transitioning from place to place on the vessel, the only complaint is the ever reoccurring, "the trip was just not long enough".
Accommodations include forward focs'le, 2 berths, head, sink, dresser.
Aft, skipper's quarters, double bunk, 2 hanging lockers, a sit down cosmetic mirror, 5 drawer dresser, bookshelf, own head, sink & shower, backed by an instant Paloma hot water system, 50gal waste holding tank.
A sliding entry way two steps up, gives access to the spacious comfortable aft cockpit, which will accommodate, personal privacy, intimate dining, or 8-9 group and has steps up to fly bridge steering station, with room for 8 to set with panoramic view or table games.
A Stair way down from fly-bridge, forward, to The main salon & steering station, fold down chart holder,(which could easily be converted to large entertainment screen), with seating for 9. An electric comfort furnace provides abundant dockside heat. An nearly new, Artic diesel heating stove installed (needs only line hooked up to tank) for winter cruising.
Forward of the Salon down 3 steps is the Galley, 4 burner propane stove, newer 3 way Norcold Refrig/freezer, new Microwave, toaster oven, double ss sink, good storage, with 5-7 setting around the table, which converts to bunk.
I'm an old line Skipper, ordinary Seaman, boat wright, my navigational equipment consists of a seaworthy craft, sober head, hot cup of 'mojoe' a compass, charts, radio, depth sounder and good anchor gear. This over the last half century, and five fine, and classic vessels has allowed me to do some of the best, possible cruising & over 10yrs. Living aboard, in So. Sound, San Juan Islands, and in Kodiak Alaska, both private & commercial.
This 46', 1950 Chris Craft, fly bridge sedan is one of the finest examples of it's type in the West. The vessel inside & out, stem to stern, keel to fly bridge is fresh & clean and ready to cruise.
This is not a forced sale, but is an opportunity for a qualified buyer to own 'The Best', altogether example of vintage elegance, classic beauty, sublime cruising, own boathouse, and extra-ordinary live aboard experience, and/or secluded office, studio, entertainment space., at a very fair, honest and affordable price.

Live the dream!

Might consider much smaller very well kept shaft drive (no out drive) vessel as part payment? I am not much interested in carrying a contract or 'dickering.'

Caveat: Please only pursue if truly interested.

Honestly, yours,
Capt. Hal
'Skipper'
