CLASSIC “PRETTY BOAT” IN SOUTHWESTERN WISCONSIN

1958 Speedliner 18-foot runabout with 1966 Evinrude Starflite 80 HP outboard motor. A rare classic “pretty boat” with a flag on the bow and another on the stern.

A boat that “turns heads” at the dock and at boat shows. An ideal family boat, especially for a family with teenage and younger children. Water skiing, tubing, knee boarding, swimming, cruising, and sightseeing... this boat is a complete package of boat, motor, trailer, and all accessories. (Owned for 33 happy years by an 82-year-old captain who’s not boating anymore.)

Some details are: the boat is fast! It lifts out of the water and hydroplanes at full throttle. (A pretty sight!) The 80 HP motor is the maximum HP that the boat is rated for. It also has a high speed “racing” prop. You’ll love it!

Trailer sandblasted to bare metal and refinished with white refrigerator enamel.

New tires on trailer.

Almost new heavy canvas protective cover.

Motor fogged every year prior to winter storage.

Mahogany plywood hull refinished, but needs it again.

New steel cables on steering mechanism.

The exterior of the hull needs refinishing. The price is $8,000, or $11,000 if you want me to handle contracting out and paying for the hull refinishing.

The boat speaks: “If you are a responsible adult who loves classic wooden boats and will take good care of me, contact my owner!”
