Further Comments

This 30 foot boat was built by the NW School of Wooden Boat Building, designed by Pete Culler. The boat was built by the school in 2005 (based upon the Certificate of Ownership).  I am told the basic hull was begun at another school and donated to the NW School.  Electronics, wiring, hydraulics, motor, etc were installed in 2006. The boat is based upon the design and look of a New England lobster boat. The Deck and cabin top are made of fiberglass. Great boat for exploring the San Juan and Gulf islands.  Sold with a low hour 115 horse Honda motor. Priced at a fraction of the cost. One of a kind.

The distinctive launch was designed in the mid-1960's by R.D. "Pete" Culler for Commodore Percy Chubb. The first hull was built by the Concordia Yacht Company in 1968. The launch is 30 feet long with a beam of 8 feet six inches. You can read more of Pete Culler's comments about his design for this boat in John Burke's book "Pete Culler's Boats: The Complete Design Catalog" published by International Marine in Camden ME in 1984 ISBN 0-87742-142-0.
