Further Comments

Well Preserved Cruiser.  The name Coronet means "Little Crown".

During the Summer of 1958, in a Coronet 22 Explorer (with outboards), builder Ole Botved crossed the Atlantic Ocean, accompanied by the ship Clary Thorden, which supplied the Coronet with fuel through a 90-meter hose. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDcOqclodPI).

One of the first generation to combine a wooden hull with a fiberglass overlay.

Built by Ole Botved of Botved Boats near Copenhagen, Denmark.

Designed by chief designer Bjorn Olsen and American designer Richard C. Cole.

Inspired by the 1956 Chevrolet Corvette.

The giant Chris Craft Inc. wanted to take over Coronet in the beginning of the 1970's.  Chris Craft offered USD $30 million for Botved Boats, but Ole Botved "politely" refused.

In September 1962, Captain A.P. Botved, father of Ole Botved, presented a Coronet 22 Explorer to the Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the first human to enter Outer Space and orbit the Earth, during his visit to Denmark.

Originally a Great Lakes boat.  We, the third owners, transported it to Oregon.

Always stored indoors.

Trailer is custom-built.  Trailer has word "Coronet", the date "1962", and the Coronet crown logo laser-cut into trailer side structure.
