1956 Century Coronado 21 Classic Direct Drive. A fully restored ground-up restoration with a no soak bottom. This boat won Best in Class at the Seattle Antique Boat Show at Carillon Point, Kirkland, WA in 1994. She has been meticulously maintained and always stored indoors. Powered by a Fully Rebuilt 427 Grey Marine 350 HP Original Engine.

The Coronado began their production run in 1955. At the time these were quite the boats, much different than the very successful and popular Chris-Crafts that dominated the market. Century was trying to differentiate themselves from the rest of the boating manufacturers by producing a large, glitzy, and very powerful hi-end powerboat for the more affluent buyer. Thus the Coronado.

They changed the basic design every two years. The 1955 and 1956 models are the only two years that Coronado came complete with mahogany decks. From then on the bow decks would always be of vinyl. The 1955 and 1956 years are among the very best riding boats that Century ever produced in that era. Plus, they are so beefed up to handle the extra power that they are nearly bullet-proof if well cared for
