Further Comments

This Shepherd is in excellent condition.  It has received many awards; the most recent being Best Classic Cruiser at the 2016 ACBS Show.  The hardtop with crank up side windows and windshield wipers provides foul weather protection during long cruises.  To our knowledge this Shepherd is the only 24' hardtop in active use.  Shepherd offered hardtop versions of their classic open \"V\" driver cruisers, but very few were built.  The hardtop version has 6\" more freeboard and a foot shorter deck to provide more space under the hardtop.  It includes a second row of forward seats, in addition to the large aft bench seat.  The open 24' Shepherds had only one row of seats forward.  The hardtop arrangement accommodates up to eight under cover, and seating for four more than the open cruiser arrangement.  The original Hemi V-* was rebuilt in 1998 with about 550 hrs on it since.  In addition to replacing the transom, the chines, frames, all of the interior side paneling, flooring and fuel tank have been replaced.  The power train has been converted from a remotely activated hydraulic shifter to a classic floor stalk shifter for greater ease of docking.  Boat is equipped with a Garmin GPS, an InterPhase forward scanning sonar and a marine phone.  These units are mounted on a mahogany bracket in front of the dash on the right side of the helm. All seats have been reupholstered in a shade of green matching the steering wheel and the new stalk knobs.  Comes with a removable maple picnic table which can be installed in front of the rear bench seat.  A 2000 Trailmaster tandem axle trailer with brakes and three boat covers are included. $69,000
