Further Comments

Here is a 1953 Chris Craft 16 foot Express Cruiser. This is one of the kit boats offered in the '50s. It was built by a GE engineer from Vermont and used on Lake Champlain. I have the assembly plans safely stashed away. This great little boat has been hiding in my barn for over ten years. I bought it when my kids were little tikes and thought we'd use it for camp/boat trips. The kids are young adults and have their own lives now. I need to focus on house and barn projects. I'd like to recover some of what I have in it. The boat is in excellent structural condition. There is no rot in the bottom or sides. As you can see in the pictures it badly needs a paint job. I do not have an engine for it but the trailer is usable. I brought it home by loading the whole thing on an equipment trailer and suggest you do the same. The cuddy cabin is quite roomy for a small boat and the portholes are brass. I'm open to reasonable offers since I'd like space in the barn but I'm not going to give it away. I have many more photos than the six in the listing.
