Further Comments

JOHN PAUL JONES is an elegant schooner of manageable size with classic lines, a graceful clipper bow, broad teak decks, and gilded trailboards. She was custom designed and build in Milford, Connecticut by masterbuilder Sidney Davies as a schooner -rigged adaptation of the famous "Finisterre". Her shapely hull and multiple sail combinations have proven to be remarkably successful in all winds and weather. The JPJ has been restored and well maintained under the present owner over the past 14 years. Upgrades include hull refastening, rebuilt cockpit, new masts, new cushions in cockpit and below, new pressure water system and water heater, a new head and holding tank, prop shaft and engine upgrades.
