Further Comments

Boat was built after World War II in Oslo Norway using cold molding process w/ resorcinol glue and 5 layers of mahogany. Boat weight is 100lb. Boats were imported and sold in the USA by Sears until fiberglass became popular in the early 50's then Sears had a fiberglass version of the boat made with large sail to offset additional weight of glass. Glass version of boat was sold as a "Puffer". This boat is hull no. 1077. It was refinished 10 years ago using West system. It need to be re-varnished. Boats did come with natural finish but most have been painted over the years. This one still has natural finish. I have owned boat since 1979. I found the boat in a crawl space of a house on Door County, WI. I don't believe the sail had ever been set until I rescued it. Stern seat is removable and used as center board. I built a seperate center board out of oak so as note to have to worry about damaging seat when beaching.
