Further Comments

The S.V. New Moon was professionally built in Seattle for bluewater cruising in 1933. The yawl rig makes this an easy single-hander in all conditions. This is an Inside Passage veteran that is ready to go again! The boat was famous in Seattle newspapers prior to WWII. After the war, several magazine articles and a book were published about it -- especially of three WAC lady pilots who sailed it up the BC coast in 1946. My own stories and photos are available, on request. 33'10" LOA, 30' on deck, 27' waterline, 8
