Further Comments

Suva is 58'on deck,68'LOA,45'LWL with 14'Beam and 6'6Draft. Designed Ted Geary for Franks Pratt Jr of Pratt and Whitney Engines as a Yacht specifically for use in the Pacific Northwest(hence the pilothouse). She has benn cruising Puget Sound, San Juan Islands and British Columbia's Inside Passage for 87 years(Pratts Estate was on Whidbey Island). Built in Hong Kong 1925 almost entirely of Burmese Teak(Hull,Deck,Cabin exterior and interior). Her construction is not only beautiful but immensley strong with 2thick Teak Planking on Oak Frames. Her deck and cabin side also of 2thick Teak. Originally Gaff Rigged, in 1960 Ben Seaborne designed her current Staysail Rig. Her masts are laminated Sitka-Spruce(rebuilt 2007)and Bowsprit and Boomkin replaced with Purpleheart in 2007. Standing rigging is 1x19 also replaced in 2007. Also in 1960 her Aux power was converted from the original gas(Lawson-Scott) to her existing diesel(453 Detroit). These are known to go 30,000 hours before needing an overhaul. This one has less than 4,000 hrs and running Great! At cruising speed it drinks 1.5 gals per hr. Best-Offer!
