Further Comments

Hopestill is a very comfortable and enjoyable boat to sail and cruise with. The spacious cockpit provides room for several comfortably and the dodger gives good cover for a few when the weather calls for it. There is ample cockpit storage in the two seat lockers and lazarette.

Descending the companionway, there is an ice box and sink (with a hand pump) to starboard and a two burner Coleman stove to port.  There is ample galley storage in lockers both P & S.  Just ahead of the galley are two settee berths P & S.  The port one pulls out into a double and there is more storage outboard in lockers and shelves.  The dining table swings down from the head bulkhead and secures vertically when under way.  Forward of the settes are cabinets to starboard with drawers, lockers and a hanging locker.  To port is the head which has a porta potty secured to the sole and ample storage outboard.  Moving forward is the forward cabin with a pair of V-berths, each with drawer and locker space underneath.  The chain locker is ahead of the V- berths, separated by a bulkhead.

Over the last several years Hopestill has had many structural mechanical, and cosmetic upgrades including:

-Two ballast bolts replaced and the ballast rebedded

-All split and worn butt blocks replaced

-Four planks replaced

-Complete recaulking

-Installed new mast partner

-Reglassed cabin corners

-Replaced cutlass bearing

-Replaced engine circulating pump, seawater pump impeller, alternator, and starter solenoid

-Replaced engine control cables

-Serviced all seacocks  and replaced worn hoses and hose clamps

-Wooded all brightwork and topsides, refaired, and refinished
