Sail Handing and Equipment Comments

This historic sloop was built as an exhibit by the Apprentice Shop in 1978 for the South Street Seaport Museum. She spent the first 20 years of her life hanging in the Fulton Fish Market in New York and when they closed she had a brief sailing career in Long Island before being placed in a barn and forgotten. I rescued the sloop early this summer and after an enormous amount of renovations launched her. She is authentic and not suited to beginning sailors. My intent was to put her back into service and not to keep her. All that remains are a few cosmetics. There is no inboard engine but if the wind is completely dead she moves along smartly with an inflatable and a 3.5 hp motor. There isn't a more stunning boat on the coast. There is no rot and the fastenings are in excellent shape. Contact me with any questions. To those who wrote and asked, the boat is still in the water. Include a phone number so i know you are genuine...
