Sail Handing and Equipment Comments

Built in 1957 on the coast of Maine at Morse Boat Builders. 10 ton, heavy displacement 33' LOD x 29-6"WL x 4'-9". Well canvased. Westerbeke 40hp diesel, very large fuel and fresh water capacity (I believe 70 gal each). Rig is all original design (unmodified): club footed jib, roller boom on main. She is technically rigged as a cutter with 2 head sails and a shorty bowsprit. 3 sails, all very serviceable. Radar, Garmin, propane cook stove, sink, head. She comfortable sleeps 5 or 6. To sail her this season one would only need to do bottom paint and any touch up on the varnishing, and she does need a new rudder. The original finally gave way.  She is 100% complete and is an excellent, very solid, coastal or deep water cruiser. A set of 6 + 1 boat stands.  Also include is a canvas/screened cockpit enclosure for sleeping out.

Further Comments

The boat is stored in the shed shown in the pics, on a dirt floor.  The boat should take on extremly little water, if any, when launched at beginning of season.  The boat is a heavily built and is very solid.  All the cushions are with the boat and are in very good condition.  This would make for an excellent coastal or deep water passage maker, with the long waterline/LOA ratio she is a fast boat for the size.  Well canvased.
